LEGAL UNIT PAGE
The Legal Unit was established to render legal services to the Ministry. The Unit is headed by the Head of Legal whose role as legal counsel is to provide various legal services such as;
ADVICE
Renders sound legal advice to the Minister, Permanent Secretary and all Directorates under the Ministry on operations of the Ministry and its mandate as given under Gazette Notice 1123 of 2021 and other laws;
TRANSLATE
Undertakes and supervises the timely preparation of Bills for presentation in Parliament in order to facilitate the translation of Government policy into law;
AGREEMENTS
iii. Manages and reviews the timely preparation of Agreements in conformity with traditional standards in order to protect Zambia’s interests;
MITIGATIONS
scrutinises contracts and memoranda of understanding entered into by the Ministry with other entities to ensure that the interests of the Ministry are protected;
